Joint Statement Defending Scientific Integrity and Autistic Rights

Autism National Committee (AutCom) has joined a broad coalition of autism organizations in signing the Joint Statement on Upholding Scientific Integrity and Supporting the Autism Community.

At a time when misinformation and dehumanizing narratives about autism are gaining ground, this unified statement affirms a shared commitment to truth, inclusion, and respect for Autistic people across the lifespan.

AutCom is a national autism advocacy organization dedicated to social justice for all Autistic people, with a longstanding mission to protect and advance human and civil rights. We have always spoken out against fear-based rhetoric, pseudoscientific claims, and policies that marginalize our community.

Signing this joint statement reflects our continued commitment to:

• Centering Autistic voices in decisions that affect us,

• Demanding scientific integrity in research and public discourse, and

• Upholding the dignity and rights of every Autistic person.
